About Share-Net International
Established in 2001, Share-Net International (SNI) is the knowledge platform on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). SNI is a membership network of non-governmental organizations, researchers, policy makers, implementers, advocates, students, media outlets and companies operating in the SRHR and gender equality field, working closely with a wide range of partners across the globe. We foster a continuous dialogue between our members, where we analyze and synthesize state of the art knowledge, aiming at evidence informed policies and practices. SNI addresses both sensitive and neglected topics and our members do not shy away from discussing these in the safe spaces that we offer. Our core values include: transparency, diversity, collaboration, participatory, integrity, safety, and using rights-based approaches.
Share-Net International currently has 4 operational knowledge hubs in Bangladesh, Burundi, Jordan and the Netherlands. Share-Net International’s aim for the next five years is to expand and set up new country hubs. Each country hub is hosted by a local organization, SNI is hosted by KIT Royal Tropical Institute in Amsterdam.
As of June 1st , Share-Net International is looking for a new Coordinator to steer the knowledge platform. This position is based in Amsterdam.
What the job entails
As Share-Net International coordinator, you will be leading and managing the Share-Net International team, hosted by KIT Royal Tropical Institute. You will be responsible for the overseeing and coordination of the secretariat and all Share-Net hubs which includes Bangladesh, Burundi, Jordan and the Netherlands. As Share-Net International coordinator, you will not only coordinate our daily activities, but you will also give strategic direction to the network’s plans and ambitions, by using your international network and broad knowledge of developments in the field. Furthermore, you will be the main point of contact and interface between the Share-Net International Board and the Share-Net International team. The Board is a body of representatives from our members who is tasked with providing strategic direction to the Share-Net International team.
